Hunt for driver who fled Dundee Kingsway West crash

The road was closed overnight as emergency services rushed to the scene

Police are searching for the driver of a vehicle involved in a serious one-car crash on Dundee's Kingsway overnight.

Emergency services were called to the scene at at around half part 10 last night (16th January) to the eastbound section from Myrekirk to the A923 Coupar Angus road.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 10.25pm on Sunday, 16 January, to a report of a one car crash on Kingsway West, Dundee. The road was closed eastbound from Myrekirk to the A923 Coupar Angus road while recovery took place.

“It reopened around 01.20am on Monday, 17 January. Enquires are ongoing to trace the driver and establish the full circumstances.”

There are no reports of any injuries.
