Humza Yousaf is being promoted to Health Secretary in the Scottish cabinet reshuffle, as First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon, unveils her new team to run the Scottish Government.
Keith Brown is stepping into his former role as Justice Secretary.
Glasgow Pollok MSP, Mr Yousaf, will also have responsibility for Social Care and the establishment of the National Care Service
Shirley-Anne Somerville's taking charge of Education, in the wake of Deputy First Minister John Swinney's job switch to focus on Covid recovery.
Kate Forbes takes on an expanded brief as Cabinet Secretary for Finance and the Economy while Michael Matheson takes on a new role as Cabinet Secretary for Net Zero, Energy and Transport, including delivery of the COP26 summit being staged in Glasgow in Novermber.
Shona Robison returns to the cabinet as Secretary for Social Justice, Housing and Local Government.
Mairi Gougeon becomes Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs and Islands which include responsibility for agriculture, food and drink policy, fisheries and aquaculture.
Former Westminster leader Angus Robertson, who was elected as an MSP in Edinburgh, is appointed as Cabinet Secretary for the Constitution, External Affairs and Culture.
