Tay News has been meeting the Dundee student – who has come to the aid of a homeless man - by launching an online fundraising campaign.

The heart-warming tale of Anna Loudon's friendship with Les Gordon has been shared across the world - after raising more than £6500 so far.

She says it all started with a coffee earlier this year:

Les recently told Anna he needed to have heart surgery, which he has been putting off until he had a place to stay.

He cannot believe what has happened and says there is now some light at the end of the tunnel….
