Police find getaway car used in robbery at Dundee jewellers
Items worth a five-figure sum were stolen after four men raided Walker Luxury Jeweller on Monday morning.
The getaway car used in a robbery at a Dundee jewellery store has been found by police.
Officers are still hunting four men who stole jewellery worth a five-figure sum from Walker Luxury Jeweller in Union Street.
The group escaped in the white Ford Kuga after the raid on Monday morning at around 10.50.
The vehicle has now been recovered in South Victoria Dock Street in the city.
Enquiries are continuing and officers are appealing for information
In particular, they want to speak to anyone who has information about a black new-style Seat Leon Cupra estate – registration MD19 CVV.
These plates are not the original number plates.
Detective Inspector Gavin McKinlay of Dundee CID said: “The white Ford Kuga and the black Seat Leon have been in Dundee city centre around 1:50 am on Monday the 23rd and I would ask anyone who may have seen these cars in the area at that time, or in South Victoria Dock Road, to contact us.
“The recovered Ford Kuga will undergo a full forensic examination for any evidence or trace which could assist in identifying those responsible.”
