Gary Naysmith expects all-out attack from Dundee against East Fife
East Fife player/manager Gary Naysmith is expecting all-out attack from Dundee when they visit Bayview on Saturday.
The former Hearts, Everton and Scotland defender scouted the Ladbrokes Premiership side in pre-season, in anticipation of their meeting in the revamped Betfred Cup which kicks off the season.
And Naysmith is looking for his men to put the shackles on a visiting side well known under boss Paul Hartley for their desire to get forward.
I watched Dundee in one of their pre-season games and they love to attack,'' he said.
Their full-backs bomb forward and their midfield players make great runs to get on the end of things.
They had four good strikers playing that night and have Kane Hemmings to add so we have to find a way to blunt those threats to pick something up.''
East Fife's summer signings Tony Wallace and Chris Duggan are struggling with knocks.
The trip to Fife is the first of four matches in two weeks for Hartley's team, who also face Group A games against Dumbarton, Peterhead and Forfar.
New signings James Vincent, Michael Duffy, Danny Williams, Mark O'Hara and Yordi Teijsse are all set to be included in the squad and could make their competitive debuts for the Dens Park club.
