Front-bench SNP team for Westminster reshuffled
Changes to the front-bench team in the SNP's Westminster group have been announced by the party.
SNP Westminster leader Ian Blackford has appointed Stuart McDonald, the MP for Cumbernauld, Kilsyth and Kirkintilloch East, to the team to cover immigration.
Edinburgh MP Deidre Brock is becoming the spokeswoman on the environment, food and rural affairs.
Gavin Newlands, who represents the Paisley area, will speak on Northern Ireland issues, while Livingston MP Hannah Bardell is tasked with looking after the culture, media and sport brief.
Former deputy leader of the party Stewart Hosie has taken up the role of spokesman for international trade, while Brendan O'Hara now speaks on social inclusion issues.
Mr Blackford said: 'I'm delighted we have such a wealth of talent on the SNP benches and this reshuffle will help us face the challenges ahead as the UK Government navigates its Brexit shambles.'
The move follows First Minister Nicola Sturgeon's reshuffle of the Scottish Government Cabinet earlier in the week.
