4 vehicle fires in Dundee in the early hours are being investigated by police.

Two cars - a Micra and a Subaru were destroyed in a blaze around 4:30am this morning, Friday 27th July, in Trades Lane.

A motorbike in the neighbouring Allan Lane was also set alight - officers believe the two deliberate incidents are linked.

Around an hour later, a black Mazda was found ablaze in Bellfield Street. That incident is yet to be confirmed as deliberate, and police aren't sure whether it's linked to the other two blazes.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said:

"Anyone with any information should contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting CR/18065/18, or speak to any police officers. Alternatively if you have any information about the incident you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers 100% anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via their Anonymous Online Form at crimestoppers-uk.org."
