Former soldier convicted after drugs raids in Dundee
He was arrested in April this year
A former soldier snared after £900,000 drugs raids is behind bars.
Dane Carroll was held after two large-scale police probes in 2017 and this year.
He was initially linked to a handover of high purity cocaine at a car park in Robroyston, Glasgow.
Carroll later clocked police as he got out an expensive BMW X6 at his home in Dundee.
The 28 year-old then unsuccessfully tried ditching a consignment of heroin.
Carroll today pled guilty at the High Court in Glasgow to being concerned in the supply of both drugs.
He was remanded in custody pending sentencing in August.
Carroll was found to be involved in 80%-pure cocaine being transported between Glasgow and Dundee in March last year.
The court heard he had exchanged texts with another man collecting the drugs.
Prosecutor Shirley McKenna said the cocaine had a potential value of £405,684.
Two men have already been jailed for their part in crime.
Carroll meantime was watched by police in April this year in Dundee.
He raced off when he spotted officers at his home.
Carroll jumped over a fence and threw away a bag that he was clutching.
But, officers recovered it and inside was £487,000 of heroin.
Carroll's home was searched and bundles of cash were discovered.
Lord Beckett deferred sentencing for reports until August 8 in Edinburgh.
