Five arrested in Fife drugs raid

Five men, aged between 25 and 38, have been arrested after police in Glenrothes seized around £95,000 worth of Class A drugs.

Officers from the Fife Pro-Active Investigation Unit discovered 2.4kg of cocaine at an industrial premises on Whitecraigs Road on Thursday 5 May.

All of the men were charged with offences under the Misuse of Drugs Act and are expected to appear before Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Monday 9 May.

Detective Inspector Colin Robson, of Fife Division Pro-Active Investigation Unit, said: “This was a significant seizure of cocaine that was destined for our streets and shows the commitment of Police Scotland to disrupting the sale and supply of controlled drugs by removing drugs from our communities. “Rest assured that we will act on all information that is passed to us and anyone who wishes to come forward and report criminal activity in their area will be treated with the utmost sensitivity. “If you have any information about drugs or drug-related crime, help us keep people safe by reporting it to Police Scotland on 101 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
