Firefighters tackle blaze at Dundee church
Flames took hold at the Old and St Luke’s Church building in Lochee on Monday night.
Dozens of firefighters tackled a blaze at a disused Dundee church.
The alarm was raised at around 9pm on Monday, September 4, and fire crews raced to the Old and St Luke's Church in Lochee.
At the height of the blaze, more than 30 firefighters tried to bring it under control.
Nearby homes had to be evacuated - those affected sheltered at Sinclair Street housing office.
Crews remain at the scene on Tuesday morning, September 4, as dampening down operations continue.
It is likely teams will be back throughout the day to investigate what caused the fire
