Firefighters across UK hold silence in honour of Barry Martin
The Edinburgh firefighter was killed while tackling the blaze at the Jenners building in January
Fire Service personnel across the county fell silent this morning to honour Barry Martin, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service firefighter who lost his life tackling a fire at a the Jenners building in Edinburgh last month.

In a post to Twitter, the SFRS said: "Today we joined together to observe a minute's silence to remember our friend and colleague, Firefighter Barry Martin.
"Barry died on Friday, 27th January following the injuries he sustained during a large-scale fire in Edinburgh earlier that week."

Barry Martin's funeral is due to be held at St Giles Cathedral in Edinburgh on Friday 17th of February.
Members of the public are being invited to line the royal mile ahead of time.
Edinburgh Council also say they will work with the fire service to create a memorial to Barry Martin, as tributes still line the fencing on Princes Street along the Jenners building.
