UPDATE: Fire crews dampening down blaze at Dundee industrial estate.

Crews were called to the Baldovie Industrial Estate in the east end of the city on Sunday night.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Spokesperson said operations were scaled back this morning and crews were beginning to dampen the flames.

A huge blaze broke out at Baldovie Industrial estate in Dundee - with police and fire crews both in attendance.

Large clouds of thick black smoke could be seen across the skyline.

Fire crews were called at around 8.14pm on Sunday 7th of June to the blaze on Forties Road in the east end of city.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Spokesperson said: “Operations Control mobilised four fire and one height appliance to the scene and firefighters are working to extinguish the flames.

“Crews will remain in attendance for some time.”

Pictures and videos from the Ballumbie area showed firefighters tackling the flames - loud bangs and pops could also be heard.
