Workers evacuated as fire crews battle blaze at Fife industrial estate

Up to 50 firefighters are tackling a blaze in the Cupar area of Fife.

They were called at around 10.23am on Tuesday 21st July to a building at Cupar Trading Estate.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) said people have been evacuated from all surrounding buildings.

There are no reports of any injuries.

An SFRS spokesman said: “We were alerted at 10.23am, Tuesday July 21, to reports of a fire within a building at Cupar Trading Estate, Fife.

“Operations control has mobilised nine fire appliances, two height vehicles and a number of specialist resources to the scene where firefighters are working to extinguish the flames.”

He added: “Crews will remain in attendance for some time.”
