Fire Crews Tackle Blaze at Dundee Holiday Spot
Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was called to respond to reports of a fire within a chalet at the Piperdam Resort on the outskirts of Dundee.
Fire crews were called to respond to reports of a fire within a chalet at the Piperdam Resort on the outskirts of Dundee this morning.
The call was received at 7.31am and three appliances raced to the scene, two from MacAlpine Road and one from Blackness Road.
When crews arrived at the golf and country club resort they were faced with a well-developed fire in one of the executive lodges.
Firefighters used a hose reel jet and two main jets to tackle the fire. The fire was brought under control and crews dampened down the area.
A joint investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing involving Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and Police Scotland.
There was no damage to neighbouring chalets, and no-ones thought to have been hurt.
