Fife Zoo has welcomed its first baby animal - and it's a De Brazza monkey. Mum, Nut and Dad, Dustin are the proud parents of the tot who hasn't been named yet and Fife Zoo bosses are considering putting it to a public vote.

Dustin originally came from the Czech Republic in 2019 and Nut is from Kent.

The couple are part of the European Endangered Species Programme (EEPs).

Michael Knight, Director of Fife Zoo said: "They're doing really well, and exhibiting all the behaviours we'd be expecting. He's really protective and she's very maternal.

"We don't know the sex of the baby just yet, and we're not likely to for a little while yet.

"But we are compiling a list boys and girls names that we will release to the public and have a vote."
