Police in Fife are appealing for witnesses after a couple was robbed within their home in Methil.
Police in Fife are appealing for witnesses after a couple was robbed within their home in Methil. The incident happened around 5 p.m. on Sunday 25th September at an address in Methil Brae. A 30-year-old woman and 23-year-old man were within the property when two men forced entry and stole a four-figure sum of money from inside. Both men then made off and the victims contacted police. Local officers are now urging anyone who can assist with their inquiries to come forward. The first suspect is described as white, 5ft 8ins tall with a stocky build and wearing a black balaclava, black jacket and black trousers. The second suspect is described as white, 5ft 8ins tall with a stocky build and wearing a black balaclava and a red Adidas top with white stripes on the sleeves. Detective Sergeant Paula Warrender from Levenmouth CID said: “Neither victim was injured but both were left understandably distressed and upset as a result of this robbery. “Anyone who remembers seeing any suspicious activity in or around Methil Brae on Sunday evening is asked to contact police immediately. “In addition, anyone who recognises the suspects should also get in touch.” Those with information can contact Police Scotland on 101 or alternatively, the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
