Police are increasingly concerned for the safety of a man who’s gone missing from Carnoustie.

Lee Morrison, aged 42, has been reported missing from the Barry area of the town

It’s understood he travelled towards Monifieth and he was seen around 2.50pm on Thursday walking on Barry Road near the golf course green keepers’ hut at the edge of the town.

Lee is 5ft 7ins, of slim build with dark hair. He has a missing front tooth. He is believed to be wearing jeans, a black long-sleeved top, brown boots and likely carrying a black North Face rucksack.

Inspector Jill Dolan said: “Concerns are growing for Lee’s welfare and it is important that we make sure he is safe and well.

“We are asking anyone who has seen Lee or knows where he might be to get in touch. Please also check outbuildings and sheds in case he has sought shelter.”

Anyone who can help is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 1586 of Friday, 31 January, 2025.
