Person dies after being hit by train
A person has died after being hit by a train near Broughty Ferry station.
Shortly after 11am on Wednesday, 22nd June officers from British Transport Police were called to the railway line following reports a person was struck by a train.
A spokesperson for British Transport Police said:
“Officers attended alongside Police Scotland and Scottish Ambulance Service and a person was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers are now working to identify them and inform their family. There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a full report will be submitted to the local Procurator Fiscal.”
