Family pay tribute to teenager found dead in an Angus house

The family of a teenager found dead in a house in Angus yesterday have paid tribute to their 'much loved' daughter, sister, grandaughter, niece and friend.

Zoe Mathieson passed away at an address in Osprey Rise in Piperdam yesterday morning.

The Dundee Harris Academy pupil had just completed 6th year, and was looking forward to going to Aberdeen University to study law.

Today, her family released a statement saying that they are devastated at her death, and she will be sadly missed.

Police and paramedics were called to the scene at around 9 am yesterday morning.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: Police Scotland can confirm the identity of the 18 year old woman who died in Osprey Rise, Piperdam, Angus yesterday as Zoe Mathieson. Zoe's family have requested privacy at this difficult time, and have provided the following statement

"As part of having their privacy respected, the Mathieson family have requested that no photographs of Zoe from social media or other sources are published. No further information will be released".
