Family pay tribute to Glenrothes man found dead at his home
The family of a man found dead at his home in Glenrothes have said he had a heart of pure gold''.
Ian Goodall, 54, was found dead in Minto Crescent in the Fife town at around 10am on Saturday.
A 25-year-old man has been arrested over the death but police are continuing to appeal for sightings of Mr Goodall on the night before his death.
Mr Goodall's family have urged anyone with information to contact officers.
In a statement released through Police Scotland the family said: We are devastated by the sudden loss of Ian who was a loving father, grandfather and brother. Ian had a heart of pure gold and lived life to the full.
We will miss him and didn't expect him to be taken from us so soon. If anyone can help the police with their inquiries, please get in touch.''
Police said extra patrols will be carried out in the area to reassure the public.
Detective Inspector Stuart Wilson said: An investigation is still ongoing to establish the full circumstances leading up to Ian's death.
We're appealing for those with any information that may help with our inquiries to contact us.''
