The brother of a Perthshire teenager whose body was pulled from the River Tay six months ago has paid tribute to his 'truly unforgettable' sister.
15-year-old Kathleen Harkin disappeared while out with friends near Woody Island in the North Muirton area of Perth last October.
She was found a two days later, a few miles down the river near St. Madoes in Glencarse.
Her brother, Adam Gallacher, has now set up a fundraising page in her honour to raise money for Broughty Ferry lifeboat station who found Kathleen and brought her home to rest.
He said: "The RNLI, and other rescue services, did everything they could when they were looking for Kathleen.
"Me and my family just want to thank each and every one of them for helping.
"We are forever grateful to them and just want to thank them for bringing our Kathleen home.
"They have saved so many lives and if we can do just a little bit to fund what they're doing, I think it can only be a good thing."
Murray Brown from Broughty Ferry RNLI was touched by Adam's fundraising efforts.
He said: "The family are obviously going through an extremely tough time at the moment and to have us in their thoughts is amazing .
"We are a charity, we survive on donations and things like that and it's just incredible that some people have the strength to do this for us".
Adam launched the campaign just last week and has raised over £500 in a few days.
