A Dundee woman is to stand trial accused of leaving a baby and another young child alone overnight with no food and no-one watching them.
Sharon Morton is alleged to have "wilfully neglected" a 12-year-old girl and a 10-month-old baby in a "manner likely to cause them unnecessary suffering or injury to health".
She is said to have failed to ensure adequate care for them and left them unattended overnight without access to food on October 21 and 22 last year at an address in Dundee.
Morton, 37, pleaded not guilty on summary complaint to a charge under the Children and Young Persons (Scotland) Act.
Sheriff Alastair Brown ordered Morton to stand trial next month.
