An online system for students to book a coronavirus test at Dundee University has crashed.

It went up yesterday, bosses say huge demand has resulted in the site going down.

A national roll out of testing to get students home for Christmas is set to begin on Monday.

A Dundee University spokesperson said: "The response to the COVID-19 asymptomatic testing has placed a huge demand on the booking system resulting in some problems when booking a test.

We are investigating why this is happening and working with the technology provider to resolve all issues."

It's not yet clear when the system will be back up and running.
