Dundee United sign Frank van der Struijk and William Edjenguele
Both men have agreed one-year deals.
Dundee United boss Ray McKinnon has completed a double swoop after adding defenders Frank van der Struijk and William Edjenguele to his Tannadice squad.
Dutchman Van der Struijk, 31, has made over 300 Eredivisie appearances with Willem II and Vitesse, while 29-year-old central defender Edjenguele started his career in his native France with Le Mans and has also had spells with Coventry and Bury in England as well as Swiss side Neuchatel Xamax and Greek outfits Paneitolikos and Veria.
Both men have agreed one-year deals with the Terrors.
United manager McKinnon said: "We had to be patient with both these signings. We worked on these deals for a good few weeks and I am delighted to get them on board.
"They will add experience and quality to our squad in an area I have been looking to strengthen. Both will play a part in Saturday's game versus Peterhead."
Van der Struijk said: "I am looking forward to playing for Dundee United. After (current United player) Nick van der Velden spoke to me about the club and I checked out the training complex and the Dundee area, I was happy to sign for United. It is a little different over here in the style but I believe I will do well here."
Edjenguele added: "I enjoy football in the UK and was keen to move back. I was very impressed with everything about the club when I visited recently. It is a beautiful day for me and now I just want to start working and help the team achieve some success. I have some flair in my game but I am here to defend first and foremost."
