Dundee United sign Huddersfield defender Loick Ayina on loan
The 19-year old moves on a deal until the end of the season
Dundee United have signed Huddersfield defender Loick Ayina on loan until the end of the season.
The centre-back has been a regular for the English Championship side's B team and has also captained their reserves.
Ayina also spent a brief spell on loan at Boston United where he was named man of the match twice in five appearances.
The 19-year old also made his Huddersfield debut earlier in January under former Dundee United midfielder Mark Fotheringham.
He started against Preston North End in the FA Cup Fourth Round.
Speaking after securing the signing, head coach Liam Fox said: “Loick is someone we have watched for a period of time and we were instantly interested in bringing him to Tannadice.
“He’ll provide vital competition for places in the backline and comes highly recommended from Huddersfield Town. We’re looking forward to working with him for the remainder of the season.”
