Dundee prepares for first Summer Sessions with headliners Noel Gallagher and Stereophonics

Dundee's Summer Sessions kicks off this weekend with big names performing in the city.
Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds take to the stage in Slessor Gardens tonight (Saturday, 11 June), with support from Inhaler, Dylan John Thomas, Theo Bleak and Gates.
Stereophonics will be performing tomorrow, with support from Jake Bugg, Circa Waves and Voodoos.
CEO of organiser DF Concerts Geoff Ellis told Tay News it's an exciting time for live events.
He said: "It's absolutely fantastic to have live events back after the pandemic. It's really obvious that the appetite was there from the people in Scotland, which has shown itself in the epic, record-breaking summer of live music that we have this year.
"I think the obvious thing that people can expect from Dundee's Summer Sessions this weekend is top quality music from some of the finest artists that Britain has produced."
Visitors urged to plan travel in advance
People are being urged to plan their travel in advance with rail disruption and road closures in place.
Geoff said: "There are plenty of buses running to and from Dundee and lots of parking around the city centre.
"We're asking everyone not to rely on trains, but if this is your only option people need to be aware that they might need leave the show early to catch the last train."
The Box Office is open for ticket sales and collection from 4-9pm both days at Dock X S Crichton Street.
