Dundee expressed disappointment after Kenny Miller's appeal against his weekend dismissal at Rangers was unsuccessful.

The 38-year-old striker was shown a straight red card by Kevin Clancy following a late tackle on Borna Barisic as Dundee lost 4-0 on Saturday.

The decision by the Scottish Football Association's judicial panel means Miller will miss Saturday's visit of Hibernian and the trip to Hamilton.

The Tayside club's statement on their official website read: "The club have received confirmation that we have been unsuccessful with the appeal for the red card shown to Kenny Miller last Saturday.

"We are disappointed with this outcome, which will mean Kenny will miss our next two matches.

"The club will be making no further comment."
