Dundee street sealed off in ongoing incident
It's understood Police are dealing with a hostage situation
A Dundee street is still in police lockdown as officers deal with an ongoing incident.
Balunie Street in Dundee has been cordoned off since around 8 o’clock this morning after police received reports of concern for a person.
There have been reports there is an ongoing hostage situation, but Police Scotland have yet to confirm any details.
The force has deployed around 25 police vehicles, including an Incident Support Vehicle.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers are currently in attendance on Balunie Street, Dundee in relation to concern for a person.
“The incident is contained and there is no risk to the wider public.”
