Dundee Stars make another summer signing
Young Canadian Anthony Beauregard has joined the club for the 2019/2020 season.
Dundee Stars have made another summer signing with Anthony Beauregard joining for the 2019/20 Elite League season.
The 23-year-old Canadian joins from East Coast Hockey League side, Brampton Best.
The centreman appeared 67 times last season, scoring 10 goals and producing 18 assists.
Once Beauregard put pen to paper, Stars head coach Omar Pacha said: “We really wanted to add a bit more skill upfront and Anthony is a guy that was a Canadian Interuniversity Sport player of the year, two years ago and he is a highly skilled guy and his vision is incredible.
“He is a small guy that always competes really hard but as I said we were looking for a skilled guy to be a top six forward and I think he will fit perfectly.
“Even though he isn’t the biggest guy he has a big heart and he wants to win and he is young too, he has a lot of potential and that is what we want.
And after agreeing to make the switch to Stars, Beauregard said: “I am really excited, it is going to be my first year in Europe.
“I know some guys there like Shaun (Boutin) and I know some things from what the head coach has told me, I think it is going to be fun.
“From the conversations I had with Omar, I just found that it was a perfect fit for me to come to Dundee.
“I just want to prove to everybody that I can be a good player."
