Renewed appeal following Fintry sexual assault

Detectives in Dundee have renewed their appeal for information into the sexual assault of a 46-year-old woman in Powrie Park, Fintry.
Police say enquiries are continuing into the incident which occurred at around 7.25pm on Wednesday 4th January near to Cheviot Crescent
The suspect, a man, is being described as 6ft tall, middle aged, heavy/athletic build with broad shoulders.
He was seen wearing a black balaclava, black zip-up hoodie, black jogging bottoms and black and white trainers.
The suspect made off in the direction of Jack Martin Way.
Officers have since returned to the scene and engaged with pedestrians and motorists in the area, in an effort to glean more information. Further CCTV and door-to-door enquiries have also allowed officers to identify a number of witnesses who have been spoken with.
Detective Inspector Graeme Wishart of the Divisional Rape Investigation Team said: “Through our extensive enquiries we are aware there were a number of people walking, cycling and out with their dogs in the park. I would ask anyone who was in the park at the time and has not spoken to police to come forward.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 3097 of 4 January, 2023. Alternatively, please call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be given anonymously.
