No traces or sightings of child in Dundee after welfare concern
Police say they carried out 'extensive' enquiries
Concerns for a young girl, believed to be 6 or 7, were raised by a member of the public yesterday.
Officers asked for assistance in tracing the youngster, who last seen in Fairmuir Park, Dundee at around 7.20pm.
But following an investigation, the force says they've not been able to identify the child.
Police Scotland also confirmed there have been no reports of missing children in Dundee matching the description of the girl in question.
Chief Inspector Ross Fitzgerald said: “Understandably this has been a concerning situation, however a robust investigation was carried out and there have been no further reports received in relation to this child.
“Enquiries have now concluded and we’d like to thank the public for their assistance in this matter. Anyone with further information or concerns can call 101, quoting incident 3009 of 9 October.”
