Men charged after Dundee drugs recovery

Following a significant recovery of Class A drugs in Dundee a 26-year-old man has been arrested and charged.

Officers in Dundee searched a property in the Charleston on Thursday, 9th June where cocaine with an estimated value of £1,000,000 was recovered.

A subsequent vehicle stop by Dundee Roads Policing officers saw a further quantity of cocaine with an estimated value of £200,000 and around £120,000 in cash was recovered. A 33-year-old man was arrested in connection.

The men are due to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Monday 13th June.

Detective Inspector Julia Ogilvie said: “Drugs cause significant harm to our communities and Police Scotland is committed to taking all necessary steps to preventing the distribution and supply of illicit drugs.
