56-year-old motorcyclist seriously injured in Dundee crash

A 56-year-old man's in hospital with serious injuries after his motorbike collided with a car in Dundee yesterday.

The crash happened around 3.15pm on the Kingsway West near to Macalpine Road and involved a grey Audi TT.

The 50-year-old male driver was uninjured and the road was closed for over three hours.

The motorcyclist was taken to Ninewells hospital and his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Sergeant Gordon Dickson, from the Tayside Road Policing Unit, said:

“We’re appealing for anyone who was in the area and witnessed the crash or the vehicles involved to please come forward.

“We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who was traveling on the Kingsway and may have seen two motorbikes traveling together prior to the crash.

“If you have any information, or potential dashcam footage, please call 101, quoting incident 1961 of 27 March.”
