An elderly Dundee woman with arthritis who's been without a bed for the last two years says she's not afraid to go to sleep anymore after being given her own mattress.
69-year-old Donna Marriot only had a couch to rest on - and was kept awake at night by pains in her legs and knees.
But she's been donated a bed by Tayside Furniture Re-Use Network - which is helping her get some shut eye.
"It's the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. It's king size and I got my own bedding with it," she said.
"I'm not frightened to go to bed anymore. I used to be frightened because I couldn't sleep, I was tossing and turning.
"I've been like that with every bed except this one I've got now, I thought it was a bed from heaven!
"I go to bed early now and I don't have to sleep on a couch."
The charity is donating one bed and mattress to those in need for every ten it sells.
Volunteer James Gallacher believes things like this can make a big difference in people's lives.
"A lot of people take advantage of simple things in life, not just beds and mattresses but sofa's, cooking items," he said.
"We're not just wanting to offer just beds and mattresses and try and help people for all the necessities they need.
"Companies refer people in need and that's how we got in touch with Donna, through Bield Housing.
"We just read the stories and make a decision from there."
