The collapsed Dundee based building contractor McGill is now in the hands of a new owner - Catalus Energy Investments.

It's led by local businessman Graeme Carling, who says he's agreed a "substantial" deal to take over the firm which fell into administration last month.

"We have a significant investment in the business and the assets we've required," he said.

"We're also buying the head office at Harrison Road, it's a substantial investment that we're making."

Over 370 workers were made redundant when the company ceased trading. Mr Carling has stressed his plans are to restore the company to what it once was.

"I want to be absolutely clear, McGill is a building contractor."

We intend to get the business back up and running as a building contractor business.
