Watch : McGhee expects to get Dundee fans onside
Relegation favourites gear up for Rangers showdown
Mark McGhee hopes his presence in the Dundee dugout for the 1st time since taking over as manager can help kick start a recovery in their battle with relegation.
The Premiership's bottom side host champions Rangers this weekend with McGhee now having served his 6 game suspension from several years ago.
He said "I'm here for a reason. If it's not, then I don't know why I'm here. But equally I think the most important thing in terms of us getting a result on Sunday is the performance of the players."
"If I can influence them from the dugout that'll help. It's really about the team. We know they can do better than they did last Sunday (a 3-0 Scottish Cup defeat by Rangers) so they've got to take the level of performance they showed, for instance, against Motherwell away if they're going to have any chance of getting anything from Rangers".
