Dundee Athletic football found hundreds of miles away on Dutch beach
It took just two weeks for the football to make its way from the River Tay to the Netherlands

Dundee Athletic have a new fan in the Netherlands, after one of their footballs was discovered more than 350 miles away, washed up on a Dutch beach.
After being accidentally kicked into the River Tay two weeks ago, the rogue ball traveled into the North Sea and made its way to the Vlieland beach, where it was discovered by local resident Esther Verhees.
Esther got in touch with the club via Facebook asking "Do you miss a football? We found one at the beach of Vlieland, the Netherlands, it travelled a long way!" along with photos of the missing football.
Manager of Dundee Althletic Matt Smith, told us he remembers the moment the ball started it's journey: "Instead of just knocking the ball off the pitch, he hit it a lot harder than he anticipated and flew clear over, bounced once and landed in the water.
"Usually we think nothing of it, the balls usually float down from Broughty Ferry and the kids get it and have a brand new ball."
"Initially I was quite angry, because it was a brand new ball that we'd just purchased but the way that things have worked out it's kind of been like a blessing, it's brought a lot of good positive attention to the club."
"So that was two week past Saturday, so been exactly a fortnight, it's taken exactly two weeks to find it's way down to the Netherlands."
"It still blows my mind how far the ball's managed to travel across the sea, especially so fast as well."
The club now hope to get in touch with Esther and send her a matching club t-shirt to go with the ball.
