Aircraft crashes off runway at Dundee Airport

Emergency services rushed to the scene just after 9am this morning

Emergency services were rushed to Dundee airport this morning after an aircraft came off the runway.

15 fire engines attended the scene at just after half past 9 this morning, there are no reports of any injuries.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers received a report that a light aircraft had over ran the runaway at Dundee Airport at 9.20am on Friday, 11 February, 2022. There was no reports of damage or injuries to the pilot. Emergencies services attended as a precaution.”

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 9.26am on Friday, February 11, to reports of an aircraft leaving the runway at Dundee Airport.

“Operations control immediately mobilised 15 fire engines to the location. However, airport crew dealt with the incident and firefighters were returned to their stations.”
