Train drivers reject improved pay offer from ScotRail
ASLEF union calls for more talks with the nationalised operator

Disruption from the temporary timetable looks set to continue as the drivers' union ASLEF rejects ScotRail's latest offer to end the pay dispute.
Last week the company doubled it's offer to a 4.2% increase to break the stalemate which has seen staff refusing to work on rest days, leading ScotRail to bring in a temporary timetable, cutting around 700 services a day, including most late night services.

Today ASLEF's executive committee rejected the offer and warned the union will proceed to a ballot for industrial action unless there are further talks with ScotRail.
Scottish Organiser Kevin Lindsay said: "ASLEF wants to negotiate a fair deal for our members, we are once again calling on ScotRail to return to the talks, so we can negotiate a fair pay offer that we can put to our members'"
ScotRail has yet to respond.
