Disruption to Schools in Perth and Kinross

Perth and Kinross School Update

The following schools in Perth and Kinross will be open to local pupils only as no school transport will be running:

  • Alyth Primary School - Blairgowrie High School - Coupar Angus Primary School - Glendelvine Primary School - Kettins Primary School - Kirkmichael Primary School - Meigle Primary School - Newhill Primary School - Rattray Primary School - St Stephen's Primary School

In addition to this, contract XBG009 and the associated feeder contracts from Alyth/Blairgowrie to St John's RC Academy will not run. The school will be open to all other pupils.

Current road closures due to flooding are listed below:

  • A923 Blairgowrie to Coupar Angus Road near Butterybank (has re-closed following short period where it was re-opened) - B951 at Cray House, Glenshee - B953 Abernyte Road - C16 Kettins to Newtyle - U163 Guay - B8079 Killiecrankie to Blair Atholl - A822 Dunkeld to Amulree at Rumbling Bridge (landslip) - B954 between Meigle and Alyth - C423 Aberbothrie Road - C446 Alyth to Glenshee Road (damaged bridge) - A984 Meikleour to junction of the B947 at Tay Farm - U100 Hallyards Road - A984 Bendochy Crossroads to Meikleour Road. Near Bendochy - U106 Myreriggs Road from Junction of A923 near Crathies Bridge to Cemetery - B952 Meethill Road (outside the 30mph area), Alyth

In addition roads affected by flooding but passable with care are:

  • C15 Pleasance Road, Coupar Angus - A93 north of Bridge of Cally - Old Edinburgh Road, at the Railway Bridge, Bridge of Earn - U348 Ardler to the A94 Junction - U139 Ardler to A94 Junction - C18 Meigle to the A923 Markethill - C19 Larghan Park to the C18 Junction - A824 between Auchterarder and Aberuthven - C453 South Loch Rannoch Road - A94 Coupar Angus to Forfar at Dumkilbo (traffic management is in place to keep vehicles to the high side of the road) - A924 Pitlochry to Kirkmichael at Straloch - A926 Blairgowrie to Alyth
