Police have issued a 'desperate' appeal to help trace a missing Perth man.

Peter Edwards hasn't been seen since he got off a bus in Stonehaven on Tuesday 1 November and officers say there is 'real concern' for the welfare of the 65-year-old.

It's understood that Peter travelled to Aberdeen from Perth, arriving around 12pm on Tuesday and then took the 2pm bus to Stonehaven arriving at 3.20pm in Barclay Street. His direction of travel after that time is not known.

Peter is described as 5ft 9" in height, balding with a grey beard and sideburns and gold rimmed glasses. He speaks with an American accent. When last seen he was wearing a long sleeved grey shirt, black tank top jumper, tie, grey trousers and black leather shoes..

Police say given the passage of time since Peter went missing, and the lack of sightings during that time there are real concerns for his welfare and are urging anyone who has seen him or has any information on his whereabouts to contact them on 101.
