A dangerous prisoner who absconded while on home leave has been found in Glasgow

Frederick Boyd, who was locked up for stabbing his ex-girlfriend with a samurai sword, was on leave from HMP Castle Huntly, near Dundee, when he failed to return on Tuesday, April 11.

Investigating officers warned the public not to approach the 54 year old who has links to Clydebank, Drumchapel and Knightswood.

Police Scotland said on Monday he has been traced in Glasgow.
