Family of "seriously" injured cyclist grateful to people providing first aid

Police in Angus are trying to work out how a man came off his bike on a country road.
The 64-year-old cyclist was found seriously injured on the B961 between Monikie and Newbigging shortly before 10.45am on Friday.
The man who was riding a grey mountain bike was spotted by a member of the public.
They administered first aid before an ambulance took him to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.
Family grateful to person who provided first aid
Carla Baruffati said on Facebook: "If anyone knows the members of the public who administered first aid, can you please private message me as us as a family would like to thank them."
Police appeal
Sergeant Brian McEwen said: “Our enquiries to establish the full circumstances which led to the man coming off his bicycle.
“The man had been cycling south on the road before the incident and I would urge anyone who may have seen him or who has any dashcam footage to come forward if you haven’t already spoken to an officer.
“Anyone who can help is asked to call 101, quoting reference 0908 of 14 April.”
