Crash Victim Had Set Wedding Date
A young father who died in a road crash had just set a wedding date with his fiancee on Valentine's Day.
Liam Graham, 21, and his partner Karen, who have a one-year-old daughter, made the plan to tie the knot next summer just days before the fatal collision in Fife.
His family said they were devastated at the loss of the much-loved man and adoring father.
The crash happened just before 7am yesterday on Abernethy Road, between Abernethy and Newburgh, where he lived.
Mr Graham, originally from Wakefield in West Yorkshire, was in his Volkswagen Golf when it was involved in a collision with a Toyota Hilux.
He suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
In a statement released via Police Scotland, his family said: "Liam lived in Newburgh with his fiancee Karen and their daughter Ashlyn, who turned one on Tuesday, and also Karen's sons Ross and Lleyton and Liam's two younger sisters Maia and Georgia.
"He moved to Scotland from his native Wakefield in Yorkshire five years ago and had just set a wedding date with his fiancee on Valentine's Day. They were planning their wedding for July 2016.
"He was a deeply-loved and devoted fiance of Karen, very proud and adoring dad to Ashlyn, supportive stepdad to the boys and loving brother to Maia and Georgia. He also leaves another four sisters and extended family members in Yorkshire and his in-laws Lynne and David, of Craigrothie.
"His loss has left them all devastated and they ask that they be given the peace and understanding to grieve at this very difficult time.''
The crash forced the closure of the road for almost six hours to allow investigations to take place.
Two men in the other vehicle were taken to Perth Royal Infirmary for treatment to various injuries.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to contact them on 101.
