A9: closure near Perth after crash involving horsebox and Lorry

The accident on Tuesday afternoon is affecting traffic between Stirling and Perth

A crash involving a horsebox and a lorry on the A9 south of Perth, has caused major delays and the road to be closed heading northbound. It happened on Tuesday 24th August afternoon near to the B934 (Forteviot Turn Off).

Traffic is building as emergency services respond to the collision and Police said the road is closed.

Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2.40pm on Tuesday, 24 August we received a report of a two vehicle crash on the A9 south of Perth involving two lorries and horse cart.

"Emergency services are in attendance and the road is currently closed”
