A 70-year-old Invergowrie man who survivived coronavirus says he feared he wouldn't come out of hospital alive.

A seven-year-old girl from Scone is looking to keep her peers' spirits up during lockdown - by going on a bear hunt!

Amelia Sichi has made a video urging people to leave a stuffed toy by their window for youngsters to find.

Elsewhere in Tayside:

Teams from across NHS Tayside have worked together to set up a specialist COVID-19 Assessment Unit and treatment area based at Ninewells Hospital.

This ‘hospital within a hospital’ is treating patients who are unwell with either medical or surgical problems, and who are also showing symptoms of coronavirus.

The unit is to ensures that patients with coronavirus remain separate from other patients within the hospital.

National:

Scotland has seen its biggest rise in deaths linked to coronavirus since the start of the pandemic.

Another 13 have been confirmed - taking the death toll here to 60 with 135 patients now in intensive care.

The First Minister’s also announced a jump of 430 in known cases overnight - this is partly due to a delay in data being published from one laboratory.
