Dundee chip shop window smashed in break-in

Police Scotland are appealing for information following the report of a break-in at a chip shop on Perth Road in the early hours of Monday morning. One of the chip shops window's has been smashed.
The Police are also looking for information regarding attempted break-ins at two other properties on Perth Road.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 6.50am on Monday, 11th October, officers were called to the Perth Road area of Dundee, following a report of a break-in to a premises. There was also attempted break-ins at another two properties on Perth Road.
"Enquiries into the incidents are at an early stage. If anyone has any information or potential CCTV footage from the area, they should call police on 101, quoting incident 0442 of 11 October.
"Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous."
Dundee West End councillor Fraser Macpherson was contacted by constituents expressing their concern. He said: "This is deeply concerning. It is a very, very unusual thing to happen in Perth Road.
"I would very much want Police Scotland to increase Police patrols in the area in the coming days given what has happened."
