Police appeal to trace Castle Huntly absconder
The public are asked not to approach Raymond McCourt
Police are appealing for information to trace Raymond McCourt, a convicted prisoner who has absconded from HMP Castle Huntly.
The 59-year-old was reported missing to police at around 5:30pm on Tuesday.
He uses public transport and has connections to Glasgow and Edinburgh.
The public are being urged not to approach him.
He's described as being around 6ft 2in tall, stocky build with short grey hair and beard. He has reduced mobility.
He was last known to be wearing a long black trench coat, grey dress trousers, a grey waistcoat, blue shirt with a red and white tie and brown shoes.
Castle Huntly, Scotland's only open prison, is located in Longforgan, between Dundee and Perth.
