Cash injection for Dundee Utd with sale of training complex
Dundee Utd say the sale of their Gussie Park training facility will offset the financial challenges of a 2nd season in The Championship.
Director Mike Martin has bought the complex, which sits across the road from Tannadice, for about a million pounds and the club says this will provide some much needed working capital.
But supporters groups are concerned that much of the money will be used to repay debts, leaving little for future investment.
In March last year, Utd posted a loss of just over 1 and a half million pounds, which shows how much failure to gain promotion is hurting. With this being their 2nd campaign out of the top flight, It's essential that the Terrors secure a return to The Premiership this time.
It's a major worry then, that the side has slipped to 4th in the table, having been top just before Christmas
