Engineers called to suspected gas leak in Carnoustie
The area has now been made safe
Engineers have attended a suspected gas leak near Carnoustie Railway - just weeks after a burst main caused an evacuation.
SGN were called to reports of a smell of gas on Taymouth Street earlier today.
Spokesperson for SGN, Bradley Barlow, told Tay News:
"Our engineers have made the area safe and are carrying out routine checks to assess whether repairs will be required.
It is not linked to the nearby gas escape earlier this month caused by third party damage.
We’d like to remind people that if you smell gas, call the National Gas Emergency Service immediately on 0800 111 999."
